As GingerSnaps notated this morning, today is the 28th rememberance of John Lennon’s death. Considering the time of year, I wanted to share my favorite Lennon solo song. It starts off with a 6 minute interview (and a couple of extra clips) and then kicks into Merry Christmas, War is Over (if you want it).

“You’re so vain, but you think this song is about you, don’t you?” –Trent Reznor, by way of Carly Simon
Today’s FGF is Nine Inch Nails’ “Starfuckers Inc.” off the 1999 album, The Fragile. I’m lovin’ the bass & breakbeats on this track….I could totally hoop to it but it also just a great track to rock out with your cock out, as the saying goes. I am a bit of a Nails fan but ’twas my boyfriend who introduced me to the awesomeness that is “Starfuckers.”
This is the unedited, uncensored version of the song *and* the video. No censorship here!

I’ve been getting into podcasts lately. Probably about 2 years behind the curve but (!) I usually couldn’t find one that struck me as super-interesting. Now I have four….and one of ’em is President-Elect Barack Obama’s Weekly video address. Here are the sites for each one:
NashTechnia Some great Nashville folks discussing all sorts of tech & Nashville related things.
wankergirl Octopus on a bongo!
DJ K-Tel DJ outta British Columbia. I love his mixes; great to hoop to (I saw Sharna Rose hoop to the Bad Ass Blue Bees mix on one of her videos) and keeps me going at work.

Driving around the Boro yesterday I thought of Edgar Winter Group’s “Frankenstein.” Granted, I was searching for costume items for Halloween/World Zombie Day (walk in Nashville on 10/26, this Sunday) but this song always signifies Halloween to me……probably because of all the Halloween rock mix tapes Mom & I would buy back in the day. Anyways, enjoy the key-taur on me.

Ok, I’ve been seeing the “Feel Good Friday” posts all over Nashville blogs & sites, like NashvilleisTalking.com, janeqpublic’s blog, chez beziat’s blog and more (sorry, I can’t remember them all right now!). I’m jumping in the fold. Here’s my first contribution to Feel Good Friday: Green Jelly’s “Three Little Pigs.” Yes, I did post this to Twitter yesterday but it was a toss up between this & “The Misadventures of Shitman.” “Three Little Pigs” makes me laugh HARD.
